2018 Spirit of Gowanda winners
The Gowanda Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce this year’s Spirit of Gowanda winners. An awards dinner in their honor will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at the Gowanda American Legion, Post 409.
Business Awards will be presented to New York & Lake Erie Railroad and Mentley Funeral Home. George Stark is this year’s honoree for the Community Service Award. The Chamber of Commerce also awards an Excellence in Youth Award to a deserving Gowanda Central School senior. This year’s winner is Andrew Kruszka. Bios and photos of the honorees will be published in a future edition of the Gowanda Pennysaver & News. MC for the dinner will be NYS Assemblyman Joseph M. Giglio.
Special recognition will also be given to K & L Lanes and Capozzi’s Pizzeria.
The 6:00 PM dinner will be catered by Rolling Hills. Dinner ticket and ad form will be sent to Chamber members and area businesses and also available on the Chamber website at gowandachamber.com.
Laura Koch Valone will be contacting area businesses for the donation of baskets for the basket raffle. She will be assisted with the calling and pick-up of baskets by Melinda Spire and Shannon Smuda, both newly elected Chamber directors.
